Kabaka Kayemba

Kabaka Kayemba, Kabaka of Buganda, third son of Kabaka Katerega Kamegere, Kabaka of Buganda, by his eighth wife, Namutebi. Succeeded on the death of his elder brother. Established his capital at Lunyo. m. (first) Nabanja, daughter of Kasuja, of the Ngeye clan. m. (second) Nakku, daughter of Walusembe, of the Ffumbe clan. He d. at a great age, ca. 1704, having had issue, three sons:

• 1) Prince (Omulangira) Sematimba (s/o Nabanja).
• 2) Prince (Omulangira) Wakayima (s/o Nabanja).
• 3) Prince (Omulangira) Kewumpuli (s/o Nakku). Born limbless and consequently excluded from the succession.
